Second Project
Women are the subject of my thought, part of my concerns, the gravitational center of my practice. Because they are me, and I am them. I too have lived this path throughout history, tasted this pain, carried this wound on my own body. Now I wish to take this struggle for living beyond the boundaries of my own life—to experience resonance, to mark this wound, to portray a shared chapter of my lived and unlived experiences as a collective pain: the pain of women.
The solitude of women within the family and society has accompanied me for years like a wound or a restlessness. Through a series of works—both paintings and videos—I wish to represent and present this solitude. My approach in creating these works is built upon key concepts that inherently carry the essence of women's loneliness.
